Biography

A Bachelor of Science in Education degree holder at the University of Southern Philippines, Foundation Cebu City, a Master of Science in Education Management at De La Salle University – Taft, Manila with a CEAP-Misereor Scholarship, a Master of Arts in Montessori Education with certificate of Proficiency at the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics with certificate of Completion of Academic Requirements (CAR) at the Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City as FAPE Scholarship grantee, and a Doctor of Education major in Educational Management with Meritissimus Award at Southwestern University, Cebu City as FAPE Dissertation grantee. Before she was admitted to Negros College, she worked in many different fields and held significant positions. First, she was an Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs at Andres Soriano Memorial School – De La Salle, Toledo City for twenty years until her retirement. Next, she became a College Instructor and Graduate School Professor at St. Paul University Dumaguete City for six years and Negros Oriental State University for fourteen years. Currently, Dr. Alferez is the School’s Principal and Director of ABC Learning Center, Inc. in Guihulngan, Tayasan and Mabinay branches. She is also the Dean, of the College of Office Administration and an instructor of Negros College, Inc.
