Biography

Sir Romie G. Benolaria is an aspiring future Doctor of Philosophy at Central Philippine State University. He is a graduate of Master of Education (Med), Master of Arts in Educational Management (MAEM) and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Computer Education where he completed the academic requirements in Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) at Negros Oriental State Universtity (NORSU). He is a TM1 passer, Events Management NC-III holder, Computer Servicing NC II holder, and National TVET Trainer Certificate Level 1.

His awards include 2009 Outstanding TLE-ICT Employee Award, 2013 Best Oral Research Presenter & Power Point Presentation (by IAMURE Multidisciplinary Research and Philippine Association of Institutions for Research (PAIR), 2018 Winning coach on VLOG Competition facilitated by Negros Oriental Tourism Council during Buglasan Festival and SHS Informecial Video Making Champion held during 2017 Buwan ng Wika Culmination of DepEd Negros Oriental, recognized as worldwide Edmodo Ambassador years 2017 & 2018 and 1st Edmodo Ambassador from DepEd-Negros Oriental on September 19, 2017, Edmodo International Certified Trainer, 2017 Regional awardee on ICT Innovativeness’ for Teaching and Learning Category during DepEd ICT Summit at Cebu City, 2020 Outstanding Teacher awardee in the Division of Negros Oriental, Proponent of project ROMIE (Revitalizing Open-education and Maximizing Instruction through EdMod Tech), an inititated project that provide opportunities for students to check assignments and accomplish activities and quizzes in a paperless environment.

He is also a prolific writer and contributor of Dumaguete Star Informer newspaper where he recently published two articles about the JDVP Program and Education Amidst Pandemic. He is also a Module writer in Senior High School subjects; Media Information Literacy (MIL), ICT Empowerment Technology, and editor, reviewer of TVL-ICT modules. He authored “Students’ Academic Performance as Influenced by Teachers Behavior in DepEd Secondary Schools, ISSN No.  2094-9529.

Recently, Sir Romie G. Benolaria is a Master Teacher 1 and designated Senior High School Head of Ayungon National High School, a webpage developer and website consultant of Ayungon Water District, Bais City-Mabinay Water District and DepEd Ayungon 1 website. Right now, he is teaching Internet Research for Business, Computer Programming 2 and Teaching Common Competencies in ICT at Negros College, Inc.
