Academic Track , Science, Technology, and Mathematics - CORE , Senior High SchoolPre-calculus is a thoughtful introduction to advanced studies leading to calculus taken during the first semester of the students taking STEM. The course briefly reviews linear equations, inequalities, and systems and moves purposefully into the study of functions. The course concludes with a short study of probability and statistics. At the end of the course, the students must be able to apply concepts and solve problems involving conic sections, systems of nonlinear equations, series and mathematical induction, circular and trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and polar coordinate system.
