A course that combines reviews of algebra, geometry and functions into a preparatory course for calculus. This course focuses on the mastery of critical skills and exposure to new skills necessary for success in subsequent math courses.

The course briefly reviews linear equations, inequalities, and systems and moves purposefully into the study of functions. The course concludes with a short study of probability and statistics. At the end of the course, the students must be able to apply concepts and solve problems involving conic sections, systems of nonlinear equations, series and mathematical induction, circular and trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and polar coordinate system.
