General Chemistry 2

general chemistry

This subject is a continuation of General Chemistry 1. This covers the fundamental facts, laws, principles, theories and concepts of chemistry necessary for further work in science or science related subjects.

COURSE CODE:
STM-006
UNITS:
1

This subject cover topics about bonding, solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acids/bases, and thermodynamics. Determine the rate of a reaction and its dependence on concentration, time, and temperature. Apply the principles of equilibrium to aqueous systems. Describe the bonding and properties of transition metal coordination compounds. Explain general properties of major organic functional groups and biological molecules. Explain and perform calculations with the thermodynamic functions, enthalpy, entropy, free energy.
