Biography

She is a “tree and forest seer”. Her first cry of existence was heard on June 8, 1949 at Larena, Siquijor. She earned her Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics minor in English; Master of Arts in Education; and Doctor of Education from Saint Paul University Dumaguete, Dumaguete City. Passion to teach and legally united with Benedicto Garces Deguit landed at Ayungon, Negros Oriental, joined the teaching force of Negros Academy (1972) and Negros College (2001). Later, became a member of the Board of Trustees of both institutions in 1984 and 1999 respectively. Her philanthropic attitude respect and care for people elected as Sangguniang Bayan member and Second Highest Official of the Municipality. Providing the Children, Milben, Karen and Carl direction for life considered herself as self-fulfilled and contented which money could not buy.
