Biography

Dr. Gene Mary F. Acabo was a multi-talented graduate of Foundation University with a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education in 2004 and right away passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. She earned her Master in Education Major in Administration and Supervision Degree at Cebu Technological University Moalboal Campus in 2013. After that, she pursued and finished her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management (Ph.D.) at STI West Negros University Bacolod Campus just recently. Her first teaching experience was way back in 2006 where she became a substitute teacher in Nabhang Elementary School. Three years later, she was transferred to Kilaban Elementary School and became Teacher-In-Charge for six years. Consequently, she was given an item as Head Teacher-I and was awarded as the Most Outstanding School Head of Ayungon District 1. With her talent as a performer, she won twice as grand champion of DepEd Balitaw Contest of the Division of Negros Oriental and Negros Oriental Balitaw Contest.  She was also a beauty title holder as Miss Ayungon 2nd runner-up in the year 2004, and became a representative as Ms. Education of Hara Sa FU in 2003.
