Republic Act 10533, otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, added Senior High School or Grades 11 and 12, to the basic education system in the Philippines. Grade 11 was introduced in SY 2016-2017, and Grade 12 in SY2017-2018.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is mandated to formulate programs to guarantee the constitutional right of every Filipino to accessible and quality basic education. In this regard, DepEd developed the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) as a program of financial assistance to deserving individuals in both public and private schools.

- Open to all qualified Grade 10 completers or ALS passers
- Grant is either P14,000 or P17,500 per school year
- Covers tuition and fees

- Available to incoming Grade 12 who were not part of SHS VP in Grade 11
- Amount of subsidy ranges from P4,000 to P7,500 per school year

Tuition is normally between P14,000 and P17,500 per school year. For students who don’t qualify for the SHS Voucher Program, we simply ask to pay P10,000 – Negros College will cover the difference.
