Practical Research 1 is qualitative research. The definition, nature and importance of research are presented as an introduction to the nature, the classifications and characteristics of qualitative research. Students are guided to know the basic steps of the research process such as designing research in daily life, writing a research title, describing the background of the study, stating research questions, indicating scope and definition, citing benefits and beneficiaries of the study, defining terms used, doing the conceptual framework, listing research hypotheses. It discusses the ways of doing the literature review and studies.

            Practical Research 1, establishes the ways of collecting and understanding data for validity and reliability. It guides the students the following procedures:

  • Drawing conclusions
  • Formulating recommendations and listing references
  • It also presents guidelines in presenting a written qualitative research report.
