Freshmen Orientation

Freshmen Orientation

Negros College conducted a student orientation last August 1, 2023, to welcome and support new students as they transition into campus life and embark on a journey of higher education. It was an exhilarating yet daunting experience. As a college freshman, stepping onto a new campus, making new friends, and adapting to a different academic environment can be overwhelming.

As the orientation begins, Ms. Carla Estoconing, the school registrar, talks about ensuring the efficient operation of a learning institution by managing student records, supporting academic processes, and ensuring compliance with educational regulations and policies. Then, Dr. Charlita Yap, the Students Affair Office (SAO) Director, discusses the lives of the students, their welfare, and discipline to guide and supervise students. After that, the cashier and health officer, Mrs. Marifel Alpuerto, ensures the financial stability and efficient operation of the school. And last to speak is our health officer, Mrs. Mary Jane Catubig, who discusses prioritizing the well-being of students and staff and creating a safe and healthy learning environment. As the orientation comes to an end, Negros College faculty and staff will give an overview of the functions and policies of the school to make them familiar to the students.

College student orientation is not just a series of events; it’s your gateway to a fulfilling and successful college experience. It lays the foundation for academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong friendships. So, embrace orientation with an open mind and an eagerness to learn, for it’s the first step on your path to academic excellence and personal development in the exciting world of higher education.
