
NC SSG holds First Automated Election
Padayon Party dominates Executive Positions
Mary Grace Balderas of the Padayon Party emerged as the new President of the NC Supreme Student Government for School Year 2021-2022 as the student body conducted the first ever automated election last September 20, 2021.
With 577 students responded to the first automated election and Balderas got the majority of the votes with 41.6%. The Padayon Party also dominated all the Executive positions namely, the Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Balderas plans to implement major projects for her term such as installation of WIFI for students’ use and improvement of Bulletin Boards around the campus.
During the Virtual Induction and Turn-over ceremonies last Oct 12, 2021 at 2pm, the Student Affairs Director Mr. Efren P. Academia encouraged the new set of officers to continue to serve and be a good example to their fellow students for the good of NC and be honest in all their doings.
Mr. Crisos F. Macario, the outgoing president on his part, asked everyone to continue to support the new set of officers. Having been as SG president was more than just an experience but an opportunity to serve and to learn, he added. He advised the new leadership to become a compassionate leader, learn to be humble, learn to accept mistakes, be dedicated, be disciplined and have persistence and aim for good. Macario thanked his fellow students, teachers, and administration for helping the student government in accomplishing their projects and programs even during these difficult times.
Atty. Edmund Tubio, the School Legal Consultant and the inducting officer on the other hand, gave his words of wisdom prior to the oath taking ceremony. According to Atty. Tubio, today’s event is not just a symbolic turn-over ceremony, rather it signifies the importance of Republicanism and democracy to the youth who to the words of our hero, the hope of our father land.
This year’s theme is Embracing Challenges of the New Normal in Student Leadership.
